Topi Dosa/Cone Dosa Recipe For Beginners

Topi Dosa or Cone Dosa is kids All-time favorite recipe. Although, we have several versions of this breakfast In India and Most of them Are prepared South India. But, this dish has emerged as one Of the most Liked recipe. Children Will Love it because of its Rocket Shaped or hat Shaped Structure and Crispy Texture.

Many People think this dish Is tough to prepare, But it is a straightforward and simple recipe. Your little ones will surely love it. This lovely dishis fun making and taste more delicious than usual plain or Masala dosa.

To make this Delicious Yet Healthy Dish you first, We need to Make a normal Dosa Batter.

Let’s not Waste the Time and get into the Batter Making.

Ingredients for making Batter:

Urad dal 1 cup

2 cups of rice

Half Cup Of Poha (oats)

Methi Seeds (Fenugreek seeds)

Water as per the requirement

Salt

Preparing the Batter:

Take a bowl Of Urad Dal and Rice, Wash, and Soak them in water for 5 to 6 hours.

Add fenugreek seeds Or Methi Seeds into the bowl. It will eventually Speed up the Fermentation process.

Take a separate  Bowl, Soak Thick Poha (oats) in water.

Rinse soaked urad dal and rice at least two to three times.

Transfer all the ingredients to batter grinding jar, add water, and Salt and grind Them.

Grind until Batter becomes Soft.

Do not thick the Batter too much. It Should Of dropping consistency.

Pour the Grinded Batter into a Bowl or Vessel, cover it, and leave it overnight for fermentation.

How To Make Topi Dosa

Heat the pan.

Add little oil to it.

take a ladle full of Batter and Gently pour the Batter at the center of the pan and spread it well across the pan.

Remove the excess Batter.

Add oil to it.

You will see the surface of the dosa will be turning brownish in colour.

Transfer it to a plate.

Use A knife and cut it from one side till the center.

Gently turn it Into a Cone shape using your Hands like a Shape of a Hat.

Place the Wider side of the Cone Facing Downwards.

Delicious & Attractive topi Dosa Is Ready!

Serve with sambar and Coconut Chutney.
