Palak Paneer Recipe | Green Spinach Soup With Indian Cottage Cheese

Paneer dishes mainly originated from the north Indian cuisines. One such Creamy and Delicious green coloured curry is Palak paneer with Indian Cottage Cheese cubes added into it. In India this exquisite curry Is widely Served with Jeera Rice, Roti, paratha or Chapati.

Palak\ Spinach – 300 grams                       

Onion – 3

Tomato – 3

Ginger – Small Piece

Green Chillies – 2

Red Chillies – 2

Red Chillie Powder – ¼ Teaspoon

Mustard Seeds – ½ Teaspoon

Garlic – 8 Cloves

Cumin Seeds – 1 Teaspoon

Pepper Seeds – 6 seeds

Fenugreek Seeds – 1 Pinch for Masala powder

Coriander Seeds 1 Teaspoon

Cardamom – 4 Pod

Oil – 2 Table Spoon

Ghee – 2 Table Spoon

Salt to taste

How To Prepare of Palak Puree?

Rinse and Gently Wash the Fresh spinach Leaves using a container

Put A Boiling Pan on the Stove Low Flame

Now Add ghee to It

Put Washed spinach leaves Into It

Blanched Spinach Leaves

Now, add ¼ Turmeric Powder and Salt to It

Stir It Well

Now, Add 1 Cup of Water.

Note : if you want more Gravy then you can Add ½ Cup More Water

How To Prepare Palak Puree

Mix ii well, and Close the Lid and blanch The Palak for 3 Minutes

Take out them using a Filter and put it in a Separate bowl having cold water.

When the blanched leaves Cools Down, add it to the blending jar and blend it Into a Smooth Paste.

How to Prepare Gravy For Palak Paneer ?

Put a Frying Pan on the Stove

Add a pinch of cumin Seeds, coriander Seeds, pepper Seeds, Fenugreek Seeds without adding Oil into It. Fry them On Medium Flame Until they turn aroma Comes out Of them.

Now take them to the Pestle Set and Make Powder it. You can Also use Bread Roller ( Roti Bellan)

Add Chopped tomato and onion to the Grinding jar and Make Smooth Paste of it.

Now, Put A pan On Medium Flame add 1 table Spoon oil to it.

Add Tomato-onion Paste And Stir It Well till The Raw Smell goes Out Of it.

Take the Paste Out Of the Pan and Keep It Aside.

Now, Add Ginger, Garlic, Green chillies, Red Chillies and the remaining Spices like Coriander Seeds, Cumin Seeds, and Cardamom Seeds.

Make Thick Paste by Adding Some Water and put in into the Frying Pan And Cook It For until It turns brown In Colour.

( Follow the Same Procedure As Mentioned for Tomato-Onion Paste)

Preparing Paneer Cubes

Take the Paneer Out of the Refrirator and Keep Them In normal Water For 1 minute so that It Will Be easy for you to Cut Down Into Small Cubes.

If you Are Purchasing Paneer from outside, you’ll Get Readymade Cubes.

Take A Non-stick Pan and add Ghee To It.

Now, Add the Paneer Cubes to The Pan And Fry them for 1 Minute Only.

Take Out the Fried Paneer and Keep them Aside In a Bowl.

Use the Same Non-stick Pan Which We Have Used For Frying Paneer, because We Don’t Need to Add Ghee as It Will Be Already Present There.

Add Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds and Pinch of Red Chilli powder and turmeric Powder and Fry them on low flame.

When The Mustard Seeds begin to crackle Add Tomato-onion paste and Ginger- garlic Paste Which We Have Prepared.

Stir It well

Now, Add Palak Puree and Mix It Well for 5 minutes on Medium Flame.

Add Salt as Per your Taste.

You Can Add More water into It If you Want it For Rice, Biryani, Or Palav.

After the gravy come to A boiling Point add the Dry Masala Powder which We Have Prepared using Pestle Set.

Mix It Well and Cover the Lid.

After 5 minutes Take Out the Lid And See If you Are Experiencing the Flavour.

At Last, Then Add the Paneer Cubes Into It.

Now Turn Off the Stove And Take The Curry In A Bog Bowl.
